Software Developer at Pollard Banknote

Software Engineer with an eye for product. I build the shared platform behind lottery apps for 8 clients, and in my own time I ship tools for AI retrieval and real-time graphics.

Work

Software Developer, Core Product Team

I build the shared platform behind lottery apps for 8 clients, played by millions of people.

faster load after Next.js
4×
  • Designed the embeddable widget system (40+ widgets per client) and built a test environment that cut QA per widget from a full day to under 10 minutes
  • Acting tech lead for Arizona’s relaunch: led 8 developers for 12 weeks and shipped on time to 30,000+ players
  • Led a slow client app’s move to Next.js, making it load nearly 4× faster
  • Moved the widget build from Create React App to Vite, taking known security vulnerabilities from 380 to 0
  • Built react-core, the TypeScript API layer every front end uses, and review code for a team of about 15 developers
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Next.js
  • Vite
  • Storybook
  • AWS Amplify

Frontend Architect and Developer

One of the first engineers at an early-stage startup, building its web app and Chrome extension.

  • Architected the web app and the Chrome extension, with a Tailwind design system
  • Set up Firebase for real-time data and authentication
  • Moved the extension from legacy Vue to React and TypeScript as it grew from 0 to 500+ users
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Vue
  • Firebase
  • Tailwind
  • Chrome extensions

Projects

Built on my own time, end to end. All open source.

Stack pixel, dither, bloom and glitch layers on images and video in real time, entirely in the browser.

About

I studied art and design in Almaty, Kazakhstan, before computer science in Winnipeg, and I still work where the two meet: I care how an interface feels, not only whether it ships.

I like taking a system from the architecture call to production and leaving it easy for the next developer. Off the clock I model in Blender (the glass on this page is mine) and paint in Procreate.

Let’s build something.

Open to frontend and platform roles. Email is the fastest way to reach me.
